Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of Python, alongside an understanding of Sparks
2. Understanding R and working with datasets
3. Understanding accessibility and security compliance (depending on the specific project)
4. Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
5. Overseeing user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environment
6. Integrating the multiple data sources and databases into one system
7. Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
