Mission for the role: As an AI & Web Scraping Intern, your mission is to build a lightweight web application that:
1. Takes any URL as input
2. Extracts text content from that page
3. Send the content to multiple AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini)
4. Returns a quality evaluation and suggestions for improvement
5. Presents results via a clean, user-friendly UI hosted on our website
This application will be the first version of a tool we plan to expand into a core product offering.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Develop a web application (backend + frontend) that can be embedded or hosted on our website
2. Build a robust and secure text scraper to extract content from any given webpage
3. Integrate with AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to analyze text
4. Design and implement scoring logic or frameworks to assess copy quality (e.g., clarity, tone, engagement, alignment with intent)
5. Display results in a visually intuitive format with actionable suggestions
6. Ensure privacy, rate-limiting, and performance handling
7. Document your code and the overall architecture for handoff and scalability
8. Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance the product experience

A. General skills:
1. Familiarity with prompt engineering for LLMs.

B. Technical skills:
1. Programming languages: Python (preferred), JavaScript.
2. Web frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, or Node.js.
3. Frontend: Basic HTML/CSS/JS; familiarity with React or similar is a plus.
4. Web scraping: BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or equivalent.
5. APIs: Experience working with REST APIs, especially OpenAI or other LLMs.
6. Version control: Git & GitHub.
7. Problem-solving: Ability to research, test, and optimize on the go.
