We're looking for a frontend development intern to join our team and contribute to the growth and refinement of our Node.js-based SaaS platform, which includes an AI-powered chatbot using OpenAI. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about building responsive, user-friendly interfaces and eager to gain hands-on experience with a live product.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collaborate on enhancing the frontend of an existing Node.js SaaS application featuring a conversational AI
2. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve UI/UX bugs and performance issues
3. Maintain and update code documentation to ensure clarity and consistency across the development team
4. Assist in implementing new features, improving user workflows, and scaling the frontend architecture
Mandatory skills & development standards:
A. Frontend development:
1. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
2. Strong experience with React.js and styling frameworks like Tailwind CSS and LESS
3. Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-device compatibility
4. Familiarity with JSDoc for documenting frontend code
5. Hands-on experience in consuming REST APIs and working with JSON
6. Version control using Git
B. Backend environment (understanding required):
1. Node.js: Runtime environment
2. Express.js: Web framework for building APIs
3. MongoDB: NoSQL database
4. Mongoose: ODM for MongoDB interactions
5. Redis: In-memory data structure store for caching and queue management
6. BullMQ: Job queue system for handling background tasks
7. Firebase Admin SDK: For sending push notifications and managing real-time features
8. Google Cloud Storage: For storing and managing user-uploaded documents
9. Google Cloud Vision API: For OCR and image data processing
10. JWT (JSON Web Tokens): For secure authentication
11. Joi: For request validation and schema definition
12. Winston: For logging and error tracking
13. Nodemailer: For handling transactional and notification emails
Development standards:
1. Adhere to TypeScript best practices in both frontend and backend code
2. Write unit tests for all new features and enhancements
3. Maintain clean, readable, and well-documented code using JSDoc
4. Follow consistent code style and linting rules as per project guidelines
5. Ensure UI/UX designs are responsive and mobile-first

Job offer:
