About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Evaluate supplier capabilities, conduct market research, analyze supplier proposals, and negotiate contracts
2. Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and the quality of the committed supplies
3. Identify and implement new suppliers for various products who can meet our commercial and technical requirements
4. Support the designer team to get the new products developed on the website and have a deal tying up with companies
5. Generate PO and follow up for existing product deliveries and ensure adequate inventory
6. Achieve cost savings through negotiations, alternate suppliers, etc.
7. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of goods and services, monitor supplier performance, address any issues or disputes, and collaborate

1. Preferably has a background in vendor procurement and networking, as well as logistics

2. Possesses real industry experience in animal care

3. Willing to work part-time and learn on the go

4. Analytical skills: Ability to assess suppliers and market data effectively

5. Attention to detail: Precision in managing purchase orders and records

6. Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication for supplier interactions and team collaboration

7. Organizational skills: Capability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized documentation

8. Negotiation skills: Basic understanding of negotiation techniques to assist in supplier discussions

9. Technical proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

10. Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions

Additional information

1. The first round of interviews will be recorded via a Google form shared on the Internshala message
2. The second round will be an interview with the HR or the founder directly
