About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Prepare proposals by determining concepts, gathering, formatting information, writing drafts and obtaining approvals
2. Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposals (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings
3. Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal
4. Enter and monitor tracking data
5. Coordinate requirements with contributors and contribute proposal status information to review meetings
6. Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, identifying, communicating risks associated with proposals
7. Develop proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation
8. Write, revise, and edit drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials
9. Prepare presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding and coordinating printing
10. Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases
11. Improve results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate
