Mechanical Engineering Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on virtual product development and engineering problem solving using computer-aided engineering
2. Understand the physical problem, translate it to an FEA model, and interpret CAE analysis outcomes to provide design recommendations and solutions
3. Analyze test data to define the boundary conditions for the simulation
4. Use CAE tools to aid the selection of materials and manufacturing process (plastics, sheet metal forming, die casting, welding and fiber reinforced plastics)
5. Use CAE tools for optimization of components
6. Participate in design review meetings to provide appropriate recommendations
7. Create detailed design documentation
