1. Maintaining books of account (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts 1. payable, fixed assets accounting)
2. Preparing Invoices, day-to-day accounting, cash, and bank books
3. Cross-checking all the entries in the various accounting books and financial statements to identify any faults or errors that might have occurred and also adopt immediate measures to solve the accounting problem
4. Working on regular reconciliation of accounts and adjustment of general ledgers; preparation of various evaluations and forecasts, monthly closing of books of account, bank reconciliation of customers and vendors
5. Working on payments, ad-hoc reports, and staff salaries through the payroll module
6. Working in collaboration in the preparation of internal guidelines as well as continuous process improvement
7. Working on GST and TDS deduction, e-invoicing, e-waybill, filing of GST and other mandatory returns, and using knowledge of government regulations
8. Working on the preparation of MIS statements like inventory
9. Working on maintenance of inventory registers, sales and purchase registers, and fixed assets registers
10. Liasioning with a chartered accountant as and when needed
11. Coordinating with various cross functions for handling queries from vendors/sales and other teams
12. Handling import/export shipments & stock transfer material
13. Working on monthly/bimonthly status of import/export shipments shared with the reporting manager and respective functions
14. Generating cap-ex/op-ex etc. when required by the company
15. Ensuring accuracy in adding respective general ledger, cost center, and other required fields in requisitions
16. Working on payments, handing import/export documentation follow-ups from freight forwarders, and coordinating departments with immediate action on all import/export shipments
17. Monitoring RoTdep and other export benefits
Required:
1. 0-2 years of experience in the fore-mentioned responsibilities
2. Graduation in commerce
3. Great if you have CA/CS or equivalent qualification
4. Proficiency in Zoho Books, Zoho Expense, Zoho Inventory, and Tally ERP
5. Proficiency in MS Office
6. Only commerce graduates preferred
