Mactores is seeking an experienced associate accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as an accountant and a strong background in financial analysis and reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the financial health and success of our organization. The associate accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and supporting various accounting functions.
Key responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update financial records, including but not limited to, general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
2. Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and anomalies in financial data
3. Prepare financial reports and summaries for management
4. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
5. Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
6. Monitor budget variances and provide explanations as needed
7. Manage vendor relationships, process invoices, and ensure timely payments
8. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors
9. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure cash balance accuracy and resolve discrepancies
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
11. Assist with the preparation of financial documents for audits
12. Collaborate with the finance team on special projects like process improvements, system implementations, and financial analysis projects
13. Utilize financial software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial reporting and analysis
