About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Building machine learning-based solutions to problems of societal importance
2. Participating in problem definitions and the design and development of solutions to these problems
3. Understanding user challenges in order to apply machine learning and related technologies for social good
4. Understanding context and design and building web and mobile solutions leveraging state-of-the-art front-end and back-end technology that will be deployed in the field settings
5. Creating well-documented libraries, APIs, and SDKs that partners and developers can leverage to solve these user problems
6. Engineering secure infrastructure and automation pipelines to host, curate, and transform data, train models, and deploy solutions
7. Designing and putting in place security and software engineering best practices, automation and testing pipelines, and develop and review architecture and well-documented code to ensure maintainable, debuggable, and future-proof solutions

Other requirements

Should have broad experience (1-2 years) in architecting and deploying mobile and cloud-based solutions to real problems that have had an impact on the world

Should care about using their technical skills to solve large societally important problems

Should have broad exposure to optimizing and debugging software solutions for correctness and performance issues, creating APIs for partners and developers, and managing and automating on-premise and cloud infrastructure

Should have strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and computer systems and a good understanding of the software development and deployment lifecycle including code versioning, building, and testing automation frameworks

Should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams

Must have excellent communication skills and a track record of driving projects to completion

Should have a bachelor/master's degree in computer science, physics, and engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience

Experience with open-source projects and high-performance systems is a plus

Salary

Probation:

Duration: 3 months

Salary during probation: ₹100,000 - 105,000 /month

After probation:

Annual CTC: ₹ 10,00,000 - 14,00,000 /year

Annual CTC breakup:

1. Fixed component: 90%

2. Variable component: 10%
