About the job
Key responsibilities:

1. Evaluate all items for import and ensure accuracy in all values and collaborate with customers (brokers) to provide clearance of all imports and maintain required documents
2. Follow up with the shipper for material movement
3. Ensure correct documentation for exports is prepared and maintained in a structured manner with banking references number
4. Manage the imports upon receipt of order ensuring proper and timely LC application
5. Negotiate freight with forwarders and CHA for import shipment
6. Check all import documentation and ensure proper duty payment as well as ensuring MEIS is used, if available
7. Prepare a waybill and coordinate with CHA for the waybill
8. Coordinate with CHA as well as freight forwarders for import shipment and ensure timely delivery of material to the factory
9. Maintain import & export documentation
10. Follow up with CHA/forwarder and shipping companies
11. Coordinate with respective end users and procurement team for the material
12. Work on EXIM-related banking activities. i.e. GR waiver letter, bill booking etc.
13. Manage the basic banking back-end work
14. Work on solving queries related to customs, GST & other departmental proactively

Note: The candidate should have an experience of 6 months - 3 years.
