We work with the analytics COE of a French corporate/investment banking firm (based in Bengaluru). We build enterprise-grade tech products to contribute to business growth and improve operational efficiency for the client. As a data scientist, you will work closely with a fully decentralized international team of architects, data engineers, UX engineers, and product managers, but also with business stakeholders and clients' fintech partners. You will bring in the latest ML models for solving complex problems in the finance domain.
Key responsibilities:
1. Apply machine learning techniques, including statistical analysis & modeling, ML algorithms, and deep learning on complex prediction and NLP tasks in the finance domain so as to enable data-driven decision making, increase business values and reduce operational costs
2. Write, debug and refine ML pipelines for efficient data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training & testing, and error analysis, and write clean and production-ready codes to automate model (re-)training and deployment
3. Conduct in-depth analysis of subject-matter datasets through interactive visualization, data mining, and statistical analysis
4. Research and bring in the latest high-performant ML/DL models for finance-related problems
5. Work on model explainability by experimenting and implementing state-of-the-art techniques
6. Work with data engineers and backend & frontend developers to integrate ML models into various enterprise products and solutions
7. Work closely with various stakeholders to promote AI awareness and adoption
Computer science PHDs from top-tier institutes only, ideally with research interests in ML/deep learning
<2 years of work experience in a data scientist role
Ability to take ownership and deliver within timelines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Sound theoretical and practical knowledge in machine learning and statistics
Expert in deep learning frameworks (preferably Pytorch) and NLP techniques like Word/Sent/Doc2Vec, BERT, GPT, as well as related frameworks like spaCy, Huggingface Transformers, Gensim, etc.
Expert in Python and data science-related tools like Sklearn, Xgboost, Pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, etc.
Strong experience with structured (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL) databases
Knowledge of software development and system
Must be a passionate end-to-end data scientist who really cares about applying ML to solving real-world problems and involves in the whole ML life-cycle
Annual CTC: ₹ 15,00,000 - 30,00,000 /year
Annual CTC breakup:
1. Fixed component: 80%
2. Variable component: 20%
