Job Description: As a Data Specialist at Kompass Business, you'll wear multiple hats, combining the responsibilities of a Database Scraper, Scientist & Analyst. Your diverse skill set will be key to unlocking valuable insights & maintaining our comprehensive database. Here's what your role entails:
1. Data Collection & Automation:
Identify and extract data from various online sources, aligning with business objectives.
Develop and maintain web scraping scripts using Python, R, or JavaScript.
Automate data collection processes to ensure efficiency.
2. Data Quality and Organization:
Clean, validate & organize extracted data to maintain accuracy & consistency.
Manage & optimize databases (SQL, MongoDB, MySQL) for seamless data storage & retrieval.
3. Data Analysis & Insights:
Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from data.
4. Continuous Learning and Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest web scraping tools, data analysis methods, and industry best practices.
Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance data collection and analysis processes.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, bringing your expertise to the table for informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
2. Proven experience in web scraping, data management, and data analysis
3. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript)
4. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database systems
5. Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights
