About the job
Key responsibilities:
Identify potential customers through research, referrals, cold-calling, networking, and other methods.
Build and maintain a pipeline of leads to ensure a consistent flow of opportunities
Conduct product or service presentations to prospective customers, highlighting features and benefits
Address customer questions, objections, and concerns effectively
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure sales agreements
Close deals and obtain signed contracts from clients
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
Ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
Use market knowledge to position products or services effectively
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management
Travel to client locations, attend meetings, and represent the company in various regions or territories
Efficiently plan and manage travel schedules
Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and quotas
Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales goals
Continuously update knowledge about the company's products or services
Be able to explain complex technical details in a simple and understandable way
Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on customer input
Suggest improvements or new product ideas based on market needs.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in sales, preferably in a field sales or outside sales role
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3. Strong negotiation and closing skills
4. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
5. Knowledge of the industry and products/services being sold
6. Willingness to travel extensively, depending on the territory
