Key responsibilities:

1. Work on overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of a company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting and tax and audit activities
2. Ensure the company complies with financial regulations and laws - they may work with auditors to prepare for audits and ensure the company is following accounting standards
3. Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks - this may include creating policies and procedures to ensure financial stability and reduce risk
