Freight Broker Job

We are looking to expand our team with a Freight Broker who has 0-2 years of experience. We are seeking a service-oriented professional to act as a liaison between our customers and freight carriers.

As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for securing new accounts, facilitating the exchange of information and documentation between customers and carriers, and communicating with dispatchers and drivers to track load status. Success in this role requires staying informed about freight carrier services, attracting new customers, and ensuring strong customer retention.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and select reputable, safe carriers to ensure high-quality service for accounts and their shipping lanes.
2. Maintain current client relationships, generate leads, attract new prospects, and build a sales pipeline.
3. Acquire new business through prospecting and cold calling, and negotiate contracts with freight shipping carriers to secure the best rates and services for customers.
4. Provide customers with accurate shipping quotes.
5. Book orders with carriers.
6. Assist in preparing carriers for loads.
