6. Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and video editing techniques to continuously enhance your skills.
Skills:
1. Proven experience as a video editor.
2. Solid expertise with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, After Effects).
3. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
4. Thorough understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity in editing.
5. Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing techniques.
6. Creative thinking and strong storytelling abilities, with a BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field.
