Key responsibilities:
1. Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
2. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings
3. Conduct or acquire background checks and employment eligibility verifications
4. Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
5. Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave
6. Manage disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance, talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health, safety, training, and development
7. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
8. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
9. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
10. Review policies and practices to maintain compliance
11. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
12. Perform other duties as assigned
