About the job
Key responsibilities:

1. Recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates
2. Plan and sometimes deliver training, including new staff inductions
3. Develop and implement policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management
4. Ensure meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration
5. Communicate with staff about issues affecting their performance
6. Ensure accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format
7. Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
8. Undertake regular salary reviews
