Insurance Underwriter Fresher Job

Key responsibilities:

1. Work on the complete review of the applicant profile including credit, income, assets, employment, and medical health status to provide a summarized view of the risk
2. Check relevant databases and websites to prevent fraudulent profiles from getting into the system
3. Work on the complete review of customer documents and income
4. Maintain a working knowledge of all current underwriting guidelines, regulatory, and reinsurance policies
5. Effectively and quickly communicate any areas of concern with an application to mentors/supervisors
6. Document all decisions to ensure each underwritten file meets the company s credit quality criteria and relevant guidelines
7. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures follow the standard income and assets calculator, fill the required tools, and correctly document the findings
8. Demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism
9. Determine, document underwriting conditions, and communicate requirements and decisions
