1. Identify high-potential opportunities at a very early stage and create a pipeline of high-quality deal flow
2. Build pipelines/databases for deal sourcing via universities, VCs, incubators, accelerators, bankers, etc.
3. Work methodically towards creating propriety deal pipelines (leveraging various databases)
4. Work on the market and sectoral research to develop a rock-solid investment thesis that would be of interest for exploring investment opportunities
5. Analyze and monitor market trends, growth potential, and upcoming sub-segments
6. Analyze investment opportunities as per the mandate of the firm on important parameters around, business, finance, market, competition, etc.
7. Work on the detailed evaluation of potential investment opportunities
8. Prepare detailed financial models by doing a thorough balance sheet and P&L analysis Prepare IC presentations/notes to be presented to the partners
9. Work on the diligence of financial, legal, and commercial portfolios
10. Maintain lists of startup interactions and various data sets around the evaluation of those startups
11. Involve in monitoring portfolio companies including financial and operating performance
12. Prepare periodic reports for internal reviews
13. Build an understanding of investment instruments used in equity investments to structure transactions well, execution of investment agreements/documents, build legal understanding to review/negotiate definitive agreements (SPA, SHA, etc.), draft term sheets, associated legal tasks
14. Handle any other ad-hoc work as per the requirement
