The WordPress Developer will research, design, and implement technical specifications for projects based on user requirements as indicated in scope of work, wireframes, and sitemap documents
Key responsibilities:
1. Designing and building the website front-end
2. Creating the website architecture
3. Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
4. Generating WordPress themes and plugins
5. Conducting website performance tests
6. Ensuring projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements
7. Overseeing the development and maintenance of websites, intranets, applications, and other custom programming assignments as applicable
8. Developing new programs, analyze current programs and processes, and making recommendations
9. Providing analysis of current programs which includes performance, diagnosis, troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming
10. Performing backend/database programming for key projects
11. Staying up to date on industry standards and incorporating them appropriately
12. Assisting with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall quality assurance of projects
Key skills:
1. Bachelor s degree in computer science or a similar field
2. Proven work experience as a WordPress developer
3. Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
4. Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN
5. Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
6. Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
7. Ability to manage projects
8. Good communication skills
