The role of a media sales executive is to sell advertising space to clients and manage the relationship with these including by working with colleagues to ensure that the design and placement of the adverts meet the wishes of the client.
Key responsibilities:
1. Sell ad space or time on the channels
2. Regularly contact, prospect for, and develop new advertising opportunities with key clients and their media agencies
3. Use statistics in a sales pitch
4. Focus on growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients
5. Perform extensive research on clients and competitors
