About the job

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and versatile HR Manager to independently manage and streamline all aspects of Human Resources. This includes recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance, performance management (KRAs/KPIs), HR software, employee engagement, audits, and more.

This is a part-time role, ideal for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing responsibilities both remotely and during occasional on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy & Leadership
- Build and execute the company's HR strategy aligned with business goals
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on HR policies, legal compliance, and organizational development
- Serve as the single point of contact for all HR-related matters

2. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end hiring process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and handle smooth onboarding of new hires
- Ensure proper induction and training plans for new employees

3. Payroll & HR Operations
- Process monthly payroll accurately, including incentive calculations and deductions
- Maintain all payroll records and coordinate with finance for timely disbursements
- Oversee leave management, attendance, expense claims, and travel reimbursements
- Manage salary revisions, bonus processing, and final settlements (F&F)

4. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws
- Ensure 100% compliance with all relevant statutory laws and regulations:
Provident Fund (PF)
Employee State Insurance (ESI)
Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund (MLWF)
Professional Tax (PT)
Shops & Establishments Act
Minimum Wages, Gratuity, Bonus & Maternity Benefits Acts
- Coordinate with external consultants or handle internal filings and returns
- Manage HR audits and labour inspections

5. Performance Management
- Define and implement performance review systems
- Develop KRAs and KPIs for all roles in collaboration with department heads
- Facilitate mid-year and annual performance appraisals
- Guide managers in setting objectives, giving feedback, and improving performance

6. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities and internal communication
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and propose retention strategies
- Manage grievance redressal, internal conflict resolution, and disciplinary action processes
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful work culture

7. Learning & Developmen
- Identify training needs and create learning and development plans
- Organize internal and external training programs

8. HR Policies & Documentation
- Draft, update, and implement HR policies, employee handbooks, and SOPs
- Maintain digital and physical records for all employees
- Manage exit processes and conduct exit interviews

9. HR Software & Systems
- Manage HRMS platforms for attendance, payroll, onboarding, performance tracking
- Implement or upgrade HR tools (e.g., Keka, Zoho People, GreytHR, etc.)
- Generate and analyze HR reports and dashboards regularly

Working Hours: Part-time: Approx. 4-5 hours per day
Hybrid model: Remote with occasional on-site visits to the Pune office as needed

Other requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field

- Minimum 1 year of end-to-end HR management experience

- Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements

- Proven ability to manage payroll and compliance independently

- Experience in creating and managing KRAs/KPIs and performance reviews

- Proficient in using HR software

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High integrity, discretion, and organizational ability

- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities remotely, with periodic office presence

Salary

Annual CTC: ₹ 2,40,000 - 3,00,000 /year
