Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Regional Sales Manager from the pharmaceutical industry to lead our sales operations across the South India region. The ideal candidate should have deep market knowledge of South India, proven experience in managing both product and service sales, and a strong track record of driving growth and leading regional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sales operations across the South region, covering key states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala.
Drive revenue growth by developing and executing region-specific strategies.
Manage and mentor a team of Territory Managers and Area Sales Managers, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Handle end-to-end sales processes, including product and service sales, in line with company objectives.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including doctors, distributors, hospitals, and pharmacy chains.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to provide strategic insights.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Prepare and present periodic performance reports to senior management.
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role.
Strong understanding of the South Indian pharma market, distribution channels, and customer base.
Experience in handling both product and service-oriented sales is essential.
Proven leadership skills with experience in managing geographically distributed teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across the South region.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
