1. Design, develop, and maintain server-side code to manage the exchange of data
2. Lead and conduct code review, design review, testing, and debugging activities
3. Lead automation, scalability, and disaster recovery planning and activities
4. Follow secure and best coding practices, and establish data quality protocols
5. Develop and manage well-functioning databases, API s and applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end
6. Write technical documentation, and have broad technical oversight
7. Evaluate new technologies and participate in decision-making, maintainability, and cost of ownership
8. Collaborate and defect tracking via GitHub
Skills:
1. Experience in microservices, and open-source technologies
2. Core Java and backend development
3. IDE development tools, IntelliJ/Eclipse
4. RDBMS knowledge MYSQL/Postgre, documents - MongoDB/Cassandra
5. Knowledge in caching - Elastic, Redis
6. Cloud infrastructure Deployments to AWS, and Google cloud
7. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science
8. At least 1 year of hands-on experience in the related area
9. Very good written and spoken English
10. Previous experience with start-ups is an added advantage
