Key responsibilities:
1. Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning, and building codes, and building materials and systems
2. Plan and program layout of project(s); coordinate and integrate engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval
3. Work on the design phase, and/or the detailed design phase of a project
4. Work in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams
5. Assist in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications
6. Identify, through consultation, the client's requirements, approximate budget, timetable, and possible needs for future expansion
7. Determine clients' preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables
8. Attempt to identify through collaboration clients' priorities in terms of needs vs. desires
9. Prepare and present designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedule
10. Prepare scale drawings and contract requirements and submit them for bids
11. Collaborate with clients to select and award construction contracts
12. Collaborate with the head builder and clients to facilitate the building process to meet clients' specifications
