About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Company Secretary to join our investment banking startup. The ideal candidate will have a passion for corporate law and a willingness to learn and grow within our organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with 0-1 year of experience to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

1. Assist with ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including FEMA, company law, labor law, intellectual property rights, and other relevant laws and regulations
2. Support the preparation and filing of legal documents, including annual returns, board meeting minutes, and other compliance documents
3. Provide support in advising the company on legal matters, including corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues
4. Assist with managing the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights
5. Assist with employment law matters, including drafting employment contracts, handling employee grievances, and managing employee disputes
6. Provide support with corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
7. Assist with ensuring that the company complies with all applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulations
8. Conduct legal research and provide support on legal projects as needed


1. Graduate from the institute of company secretaries of India
2. 0-1 year of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience
3. Basic knowledge of FEMA, company law, labor law, intellectual property rights, and other relevant laws and regulations
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office
