Junior Data Scientist Job (Remote)

Key responsibilities:

1. Working with the team to develop algorithms to predict sales of certain supermarket categories


Requirements:

1. A Ph.D. or Masters student in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, operation research, or related fields
2. Background in data analysis, data engineering, statistics, machine learning algorithms, and their applications required
3. Familiarity with one or more deep learning frameworks (Caffe, Caffe2, PyTorch, Tensorflow)
4. Familiarity with reinforcement learning, semi-supervised learning, deep learning, natural language understanding, algorithmic foundations of optimization, combinatorial optimisation, neural networks, decision trees
5. Solid understanding of data science and machine learning foundations
6. Experience working with most of the following frameworks and libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Sklearn, Keras, Tensorflow, Jupyter, Matplotlib, etc.
7. Good programming skills and knowledge of data science tools and libraries in R, and Python & ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze data
8. Deep Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms
9. Must have strong problem-solving skills
10. Must be eager to learn new tools/skills/methods
11. Must be a highly motivated team player who can thrive in a dynamic environment
12. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
