About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Edit and proofread articles, blogs, and other content for grammar, tone, and style
2. Maintain consistency with brand voice and editorial guidelines
3. Perform fact-checking and ensure content accuracy
4. Manage and oversee the content production workflow, ensuring timely submissions and deliverables
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for freelancers, writers, and editors
6. Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure smooth communication across teams
7. Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to meet deadlines and campaign goals
8. Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to align content with strategic objectives
9. Suggest improvements to content strategies and implement editorial best practices
10. Provide guidance and constructive feedback to freelancers, junior editors, and writers
11. Lead training sessions to improve team skills and efficiency
12. Foster a positive and collaborative editorial team culture
13. Identify inefficiencies in the content production process and propose solutions
14. Use editorial tools and software to enhance workflow and productivity
15. Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of published content

1. Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field

2. 1-5 years of experience in editing or a similar role

3. Exceptional command of English and keen attention to detail

4. Strong organizational and project management skills

5. Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with SEO principles

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

8. Pre-qualification criteria- 90% and above score in English in classes 10th and 12th

9. Experience in editing and coordinating newsletters is a strong preference
