Senior Video Editor Job (Remote)

Key responsibilities:

1. Edit high-retention YouTube long-form episodes, shorts, and Reels using Adobe Premiere Pro
2. Create engaging motion graphics, intros and outros, kinetic typography, and transitions in After Effects
3. Design high-impact thumbnails, overlays, and visual elements in Photoshop
4. Master audio through cleanups, mixing, syncing BGM, and cinematic sound design
5. Apply storytelling structures with powerful visual hooks and sound effects to maximize AVD
6. Lead and manage a team of 6 editors, motion designers, and thumbnail artists
7. Define and enforce visual quality benchmarks and post-production SOPs
8. Assign and track tasks across timelines while providing creative and technical feedback
9. Mentor junior editors and conduct regular skill reviews
10. Format content specifically for YouTube, Instagram, and Spotify
11. Optimize audio-visual pacing and graphics based on platform trends and viewer retention behavior
12. Collaborate with SEO and scripting teams to align edits with search trends, CTR optimization, and hook retention strategies

Requirements:

1. Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, including proxy workflow, multicam sync, and audio syncing
2. Expertise in Adobe After Effects including logo animations, motion graphics, and kinetic text
3. Advanced proficiency in Photoshop including thumbnail design, layer management, and image optimization
4. Sound design and engineering skills including background scores, SFX layering, and vocal EQ
5. Strong visual storytelling, creative judgment, and pacing
6. Proven experience editing for YouTube, Instagram Shorts or Reels, or OTT trailers
7. Team leadership and project coordination experience
8. Knowledge of YouTube SEO, click-through rate optimization, and AVD metrics
9. Understanding of YouTube algorithm triggers including titles, thumbnails, and pacing
10. Familiarity with collaborative tools like Frame.io, Notion, and Trello
11. Content experience in psychology, business, productivity, geopolitics, or spirituality
12. Bilingual editing proficiency in Hindi and English
