1. Design new engineering products and processes
2. Analyze prototype data and retest if needed
3. Research new product ideas and methods, and improve existing products and processes
4. Ensure compliance with the industry s safety standards and maintain accurate records
5. Write detailed test plans and reports
6. Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers
7. Create or refine engineering documentation independently, such as the design history file
8. Create & review engineering drawings, and understand GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
9. Develop test plans, perform testing & verification of designs
10. Engage in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and service support
11. Support the team in the research and development phases
12. Participate and connect actively with incubators
Skills & Requirements:
1. BE/B. Tech/M. Tech in mechanical engineering/mechatronics/biomedical engineering with 2-4 years of work experience in the relevant field in mechanical engineer/mechatronics/biomedical engineer
2. Hands-on 3D CAD modeling tools for the design and development of mechanical components and sub-systems
3. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design
4. Previous experience as a mechanical engineer or a similar role
5. Proven experience in CAD software
6. Knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus
7. Excellent oral and written communication
8. Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers
9. Experience in medical device development and medical device standards will be an added advantage
10. Experience in conducting verification and experimental testing at the components/subsystem level
11. Good at hand calculation of the mechanical components for deciding strength, stiffness, etc.
12. Knowledge of FEA, simulations, and design calculation will be an added advantage
13. Candidates with knowledge of elector-mechanical components will be an added advantage
14. Should have hands-on experience with testing, verifications, and validations of products
15. Pro experience working within a start-up company
16. Work from Monday to Saturday (9 am - 6 pm)
