1. Assisting in performing interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documents.
2. Preparing and modifying architectural/interior design documents, elevations, and sections, as directed by the principal designer utilizing design software.
3. Researching green building materials and specifications.
4. Having a basic knowledge of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color, and material to carry out design intent.
5. Collaborating with other members of the design team, such as site engineers, designers, and contractors.
6. Participating in client meetings and site visits to gather information and record minutes of the meeting.
7. Participate in the construction process as requested (site visits, punch list, submittals, etc.).
8. Performing administrative tasks, such as organizing project files and design data.
Skills required:
1. Possesses basic hand in CAD drafting skills.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
3. Basic proficiency in 3D modeling software such as 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, and Revit is preferred.
4. Basic proficiency in PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign graphic software is preferred.
5. Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
6. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
7. And the ability to work in a cohesively dynamic team environment.
8. Portfolios must be submitted for all design positions (Architecture, Interior, Planning, etc.).
