The 1st ALSB National Online Memorial Drafting Competition 2026 is a national-level legal drafting competition organized by Amity Law School, Bengaluru. It focuses on legal research, written advocacy, memorial drafting, legal reasoning, and interpretation of law. Participants will prepare memorials based on a moot proposition, helping law students build practical litigation drafting skills in a fully online format.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility: Open to students pursuing 3-year LL.B., 5-year integrated law courses, LL.M., or Ph.D. in Law from recognized universities or institutions in India or abroad.
- International eligibility: International exchange students enrolled in recognized law institutions are also eligible.
- Participation type: Students can participate individually or in a team of maximum 2 members.
- Cross-institution teams: Allowed; students from different recognized institutions can form a team.
- Submission rule: Each participant/team can submit only one memorial.
- ID proof: Participants must have a valid institutional ID card or proof of enrolment.
- Evaluation criteria: Memorials will be judged on legal analysis, research quality, originality, drafting style, interpretation of law, and citation methodology.
- Final decision: The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final and binding.

- Winner: ₹7,000 + Certificate of Merit
- Runner-up: ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit
- Best Memorial – Petitioner: ₹2,000 + Certificate of Merit
- Best Memorial – Respondent: ₹2,000 + Certificate of Merit
- Total cash prize: ₹16,000
- Additional certificates: Certificate of Merit for top 3 participants/teams and Certificate of Participation for all participants.
