📌About the Event
The 4th Virtual Moot Court Competition 2026, organised by LexPacto, is an online advocacy competition for undergraduate law students. Participants will argue a fictional constitutional-law dispute involving digital privacy, online speech, encryption, government surveillance and national security. The competition aims to strengthen participants’ legal research, memorial drafting, critical thinking and oral advocacy skills through written submissions and multiple courtroom-style rounds.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility:
- The competition is open to students pursuing a full-time:
- Three-year LL.B. course, or
- Five-year integrated undergraduate law course.
- Participants must register as a team.
- Each team may have:
- Two speakers; or
- Two speakers and one researcher.
- A team may therefore consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of three members.
- Competition Rules
- Teams must complete the registration process and pay the applicable fee before the deadline.
- A unique team code will be allotted after registration.
- Participants must use their team code in competition documents and communications wherever required.
- Each team must prepare and submit its written memorial by 30 June 2026.
- The oral rounds will be conducted online.
- Teams will argue issues concerning privacy, traceability, freedom of speech, encryption and national security.
- Participants must follow the memorial format, file-naming rules, platform requirements and courtroom etiquette specified in the official rulebook.
- Teams should not disclose the identity of their institution during anonymous evaluation or oral rounds where prohibited by the rules.
- Any violation involving plagiarism, misrepresentation, late submission or unauthorised assistance may attract penalties or disqualification, subject to the official rulebook.
- The organiser’s decision concerning competition administration, qualification and results will apply to participating teams.
