📌About the Event
The 2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea – International AI Video Art Contest invites artists, students and digital creators worldwide to produce an AI-powered video artwork based on the theme “Imagining the Island of the Future with AI.” Participants must use artificial intelligence and IT tools to reinterpret global environmental and social challenges through the idea of an island, incorporating a meaningful ESG message. Selected entries will be officially exhibited on the exterior media façade of the Theme Island during the 2026 World Island Exhibition in Yeosu, South Korea.

- Theme: “Imagining the Island of the Future with AI”
- Focus: Using AI and digital technology to visualise a sustainable future for islands while communicating environmental, social and governance themes.
- Mode of participation: Online submission through email.
- Final exhibition mode: Selected videos will be physically displayed on the exterior media façade of the Theme Island in Yeosu, South Korea.
- Participation format: Individual or team participation.
- Maximum team size: Four members.
- Competition categories:
- General Category
- Student Category
- Participants cannot enter simultaneously as both an individual and a team member.
- A total of 14 winners will be selected across the two categories.
- Works other than the prize-winning entries may also be selected for exhibition following an internal review.
- Selected works will be displayed alongside video artworks created by invited Korean and international artists.

- Submission deadline: July 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM
- Result announcement: July 24, 2026

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility:
- The contest is open to Korean and international artists and creators.
- There is no stated nationality restriction, making Indian students and creators eligible to participate.
- Applicants may participate:
- Individually
- As a team of up to four members
- Participants must choose either individual or team participation; duplicate participation in both formats is not allowed.
- Students must enter under the Student Category.
- Student applicants must submit:
- A certificate of enrolment, or
- A certificate confirming an approved academic leave
- International participants should use the English application forms and English contest guidelines provided in the application pack.
