Cosmomath 15.1 is the first preliminary round of the 15th edition of Cosmomath, organized under the National Students’ Space Challenge (NSSC) 2026 at IIT Kharagpur. The competition blends mathematics, logical problem-solving, astronomy, and space science, challenging students to use equations and mathematical reasoning to understand cosmic phenomena.

• Round: Cosmomath 15.1 – First Preliminary Round
• Mode: Online
• Format: MCQ-based mathematics and space-themed quiz
• Participation: Individual or teams of up to 3 members
• Team composition: Members may belong to different colleges/institutions
• Cosmomath has three online preliminary quizzes – 15.1, 15.2 and 15.3.
• Teams may participate in one or multiple preliminary rounds.
• If a team attempts multiple prelims, its best score is considered.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to college students only.
• Undergraduate and postgraduate students can participate.
• Students from engineering, management, sciences, commerce, arts, law, medical and other disciplines are eligible.
• Team size: 1–3 members.
