📌About the Event
The 7th TGA Virtual Moot Court Competition 2026, organised by Thomas George & Associates, is an online moot court competition for law students across India. The 2026 moot proposition focuses on “AI Usage in Litigation”, covering contemporary legal issues such as fictitious AI-generated citations, attorney-client privilege, liability for misuse of AI by junior advocates, and disclosure of AI use before courts. The competition aims to strengthen students’ legal research, drafting, advocacy and litigation skills.
ℹ️ Event Details
- Competition dates: December 5–6, 2026.
- Theme: AI Usage in Litigation.
- Moot proposition: In Re: Cognizance for AI Usage in Litigation.
- Teams will argue both in favour of and against the four legal issues framed in the proposition.
- Each team must consist of 3 members – 2 speakers and 1 researcher.
- Each speaker gets 15 minutes for oral submissions, subject to extension by the judges.
- Participants must keep their cameras switched on and maintain a stable internet connection during rounds.
- Written memorials must be prepared for both sides of the dispute.

- Registration & fee payment deadline: September 15, 2026.
- Deadline for clarifications: September 25, 2026.
- Publication of clarifications: September 30, 2026.
- Memorial submission deadline: November 14, 2026, by 5:00 PM.
- Memorial exchange: December 4, 2026.
- Inauguration & competition rounds: December 5–6, 2026.
🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Open to students from all years of 3-year and 5-year law courses.
- All 3 team members must belong to the same law college.
- Each college can send a maximum of 2 teams.
- Team composition: Speaker 1 + Speaker 2 + Researcher.
