📌About the Event

The DPDP Mascot Design with a Name Contest 2026 is a nationwide creative competition organised by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with MyGov. Participants have to create an original mascot and suggest a suitable name that can become the friendly public face of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. The mascot should communicate ideas such as privacy, trust, digital safety and citizen empowerment while appealing to people across India.

• Mode: Online
• Submission platform: MyGov
• Participants must design an original mascot along with a suggested name.
• A design rationale and explanation of the mascot’s name of up to 200 words must accompany the submission.
• Entries must be submitted in JPEG, PNG or PDF format.
• Recommended file size: up to 4 MB, subject to MyGov portal limits.
• Minimum resolution: 300 DPI.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to all Indian citizens.
• Participation fee: Free.
• Each participant can submit only one entry.
• The mascot and its name must be completely original and free from copyright or trademark violations.
• Entries generated entirely using AI tools are not eligible.
• Designs copied or adapted from existing characters or stock images can be disqualified.
• The mascot should not resemble any living person, community symbol or existing character.
• Participants must not place their name, initials, watermark or identifying marks on the creative.
