The Meridian Essay Prize 2026 is a national essay writing competition for Indian students aged 14–21, focused on Economics in its first edition. It aims to help students think beyond textbooks, build strong arguments, and write original essays on real-world economic issues. The competition is promoted by 360 ONE WAM Limited and organised in partnership with Peak Potentia and Viral Doshi Associates.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to residents of India.
• Students must be aged 14–21 and enrolled in a recognised secondary school, high school, or university during the competition period.
• Students must register under the category matching their age at the time of registration.
• Students below 18 years need parental/guardian consent.
• Gap-year students, homeschooled students, and students transitioning between institutions may contact the organisers to check eligibility.

🏆 Benefits for the Participants

• 1st Place: ₹1,00,000 cash prize + Certificate of Excellence + 6 months mentorship.
• 2nd Place: ₹60,000 cash prize + Certificate of Excellence + 3 months mentorship.
• 3rd Place: ₹40,000 cash prize + Certificate of Merit.
• Additional Awards: 5 prizes of ₹10,000 each + Certificate of High Commendation in each category.
• Total Recognition: The Terms page states that 8 prizes will be awarded in each of the three categories.
