AMS Ascent ’26: C++ & Systems Programming Competition
AMS (Algorithms & Mathematics Society)
📌About the Event
AMS Ascent ’26 is a C++ and systems programming competition organized by the Algorithms & Mathematics Society (AMS). Unlike conventional programming contests that primarily assess whether participants can solve a problem correctly, Ascent ’26 goes further by measuring how efficiently their code actually performs. Participants are tested on profiling, debugging, optimization, memory management, build systems, and low-level performance engineering. Correctness acts as the qualifying threshold, while wall-clock runtime and performance determine rankings.
