📌 About the Event
The Bidesh Sikhyabruti Scholarship is an Odisha Government scheme introduced under the Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana (MMCPY) to support meritorious SC and ST students pursuing postgraduate or PhD studies at top-ranked foreign universities. The scheme provides financial assistance for eligible students to pursue higher education abroad.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) community.
- Applicants must be domiciled in Odisha.
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹12 lakh.
- The selected foreign university/institution must meet the prescribed QS World University Rankings requirement.
- Applicants must satisfy the prescribed academic and admission requirements for the selected course.
- The scholarship can generally be availed only once, either for a postgraduate programme or a PhD programme.
- Selection is based on the prescribed eligibility and merit criteria under the scheme.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- Financial assistance of up to ₹25 lakh per student per year.
- Maximum scholarship support of up to ₹50 lakh per student for the entire course.
- Up to ₹15 lakh per year towards tuition fees.
- Up to ₹7 lakh per year for living expenses.
- Up to ₹3 lakh towards airfare, visa, insurance, and other incidental expenses.
- Scholarship funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
- Around 50 students are selected annually across different academic streams.
