📌About the Event

The International Hackathon on AI for Agri-Food Systems 2026 is a global innovation challenge focused on using artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies to solve real-world problems across agriculture and food systems. Conducted under the Global Initiative on AI for Agri-Food Systems (GI-AI4AFS), the hackathon brings together students, researchers, farmers, developers, startups, entrepreneurs, industry professionals and other innovators to create practical, interoperable and scalable solutions for sustainable and resilient agri-food systems. The programme particularly encourages solutions that benefit small and marginal farmers and can progress beyond the hackathon into pilots, partnerships or real-world implementation.
