📌About the Event

The Final Bout is one of the competitive events conducted under SUFFRAGIUM 2026, the flagship academic initiative of the Postgraduate and Research Department of Political Science at St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata. SUFFRAGIUM & SANSAD 2026 focuses on democracy, public affairs, policy, journalism, debate and communication, with The Final Bout adding an interview-based challenge to the programme.

The Final Bout has traditionally been designed as a mock Civil Services/UPSC personality or stress interview, placing participants in a high-pressure interview environment where their awareness, communication abilities, composure and presence of mind can be assessed. In the documented 2024 edition, participants appeared before a panel that included IPS officer Harikrishna Pai and senior professors, simulating the personality-test stage of the Civil Services Examination.
