🎯 Key Hackathon Tracks
Participants must build “Student-life tools only.” Clones and marketplaces are explicitly disqualified.

- Systems Track: Focus on end-to-end thinking, showing the journey from problem to insight to prototype.
- Research-First Track: Prioritizes evidence-led building; teams are evaluated on research depth and documented trade-offs.
- Safety & Wellbeing Track: Tools focused on prevention, mental health, and creating safer digital or campus experiences.
⚖️ Scoring & Bonus Points
- The RentIts Multiplier: +40 points for every verified signup/install of the RentIts app.
- Research Weight: Extra weight is given to teams providing “research receipts” (survey data or user interviews).
- UX Over Everything: Judging focuses on the depth of user experience and genuine value over “hype.”
