📌 About the Event

The Bharat GI Quiz 2026 is a premier national digital literacy initiative hosted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov India.

Aligned with the Prime Minister’s “Vocal for Local” and “Local Goes Global” directives, this virtual challenge is designed to celebrate and raise public awareness of India’s Geographical Indication (GI) products. The quiz challenges citizens to test their knowledge of the country’s unique regional assets—spanning traditional textiles, distinct agricultural products, handicraft histories, and indigenous manufacturing frameworks that hold legal GI protection.

• Launch Date: May 15, 2026 @ 11:00 AM IST
• Closing Date: June 30, 2026 @ 11:45 PM IST
• Quiz Structure: 10 Questions
• Time Limit: 300 Seconds (5 Minutes)
• Format: 100% Virtual / Online Speed-Run Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Status: ACTIVE. The testing matrix is fully open for public entry.

📋 Eligibility & Rules

• Target Audience: Open to all Indian citizens from all walks of life—including school and college students, corporate professionals, artisans, entrepreneurs, and heritage enthusiasts.
• Access Method: Log in securely via the official government portal using your verified MyGov credentials or an OTP-verified mobile number.
• Performance Parameters: Ranking is strictly automated based on the highest number of correct answers. In the case of a tie, the platform breaks it by ranking the participant who completed the 10 questions in the least amount of total time.
