🏆 About the Hackathon
InnovateZ 2026 (The Gen Z Challenge) is a high-octane, startup-grade AI hackathon designed specifically for India’s next generation of student builders and problem solvers. The initiative challenges participants to transition from abstract concepts to production-ready deployments by engineering AI-powered solutions for real-world business bottlenecks. Spanning three strict elimination phases, the competition gives builders direct industry mentorship, hands-on architectural experience, and a direct arena to pitch prototypes to enterprise leadership.
📅 Critical Dates & System Timeline
- Registration Closing Date: June 12, 2026
- Round 1 (Idea Screening): June 13 – June 16, 2026
- Round 2 (Prototype Phase): June 18 – June 24, 2026
- Round 3 (Grand Finale Onsite): Sunday, June 28, 2026

👥 Eligibility & Team Formations
- Target Cohort: Active undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students passionate about artificial intelligence and software engineering.
- Team Volume Constraints: Flexible configurations allowing Teams of 1 to 3 builders. Solo innovators are permitted to register and lock their nodes independently.
🧬 Structure of the Core Hackathon Rounds
The evaluation board coordinates the cohort through three distinct competitive milestones:
- Phase 1: Idea Screening (June 13 – June 16): Teams submit their initial architectural concept, design blueprints, and choice of AI models targeting the core business problem statements.
- Phase 2: Prototype Phase (June 18 – June 24): Accepted cohorts move to active development, writing code and building functional minimum viable products (MVPs) using cloud infrastructure.
- Phase 3: Grand Finale (June 28): The top remaining teams assemble live at the Zentiti corporate workspace to demonstrate their active software pipelines to a panel of executive judges.
💰 Prize Matrix & Career Incentives
- Cumulative Prize Purse: ₹1,75,000 (1.75 Lakhs) total cash pool distributed among the top performing teams.
