With the rising frequency and severity of extreme summer heatwaves across India, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has launched this nationwide poster-making campaign. The competition is designed to tap into the creative energy of school students to build high-impact public safety visuals. The ultimate goal is to generate relatable, clear artwork that highlights heatwave risks, displays practical prevention methods, and promotes a community-wide culture of climate safety.

🎨 Eligible Formats & Creative Mediums
Young artists have complete creative freedom to convey the theme using any of the following physical or digital methods:
- Allowed Mediums: Hand-drawn sketches, watercolours, acrylic paintings, crayons, pencil art, digital illustrations, and mixed media artwork.
- Prohibited Elements: Submissions must be entirely original. Any copied, plagiarised, AI-generated, or previously published assets will cause the system to automatically reject the entry.
📋 Strict Terms & Conditions
Before uploading to the MyGov server network, ensure your submission aligns with these administrative rules:
- Target Audience: Open strictly to school students currently enrolled in recognized educational institutions across India.
- Entry Cap: Only one (1) entry per individual is permitted. Submitting multiple files under the same profile triggers an immediate automated disqualification.
- Profile Verification: Your MyGov user profile must be 100% complete (including full legal name, clear photograph, and active contact numbers) before clicking submit.
📊 Evaluation & Judging Framework
The NDMA selection panel will critique all received image layers based on these five parameters:
- Thematic Relevance: How effectively the poster communicates heatwave preparedness and protective actions.
- Concept Originality: The creativity and unique storytelling behind the design.
- Visual Impact: Overall artistic appeal, composition, and layout balancing.
- Message Legibility: How quickly and clearly a viewer can read and understand the safety warnings.
- Autonomy: The structural capability of the poster to standalone as an independent public advisory tool.
📥 Step-by-Step Submission Protocol
- Create the Artwork: Design your poster on your preferred physical or digital canvas based on the “Stay Cool, Stay Safe“ theme.
- Convert to Digital Vector: Scan or take a high-resolution, clear photograph of your physical artwork. Convert the file strictly into JPG or PDF format.
- Upload to Server: Log in to the official MyGov portal, find the active NDMA assignment block, upload your file, and lock your submission before the July 15, 2026 deadline.
- Retain Physical Copy: Keep the original paper/canvas drawing safe. The ministry will require winners to physically mail the original artwork for verification before releasing funds.
🎁 Incentives & Cash Rewards
The top three national designs will receive significant cash allocations distributed directly through secure banking lines:
- 1st National Winner: ₹50,000
- 2nd National Winner: ₹30,000
- 3rd National Winner: ₹20,000
