Global AI Hackathon Series with QwenCloud
Qwen cloud
📌 About the event
As autonomous systems shift from simple chat interfaces to complex engineering setups, the Global AI Hackathon Series with Qwen Cloud challenges professional developers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists to push the boundaries of what AI can do.
The goal is to build, test, and ship production-ready, multi-agent architectures using the advanced reasoning and multimodal capabilities of the Qwen flagship models. Sponsored by Alibaba Cloud, this virtual marathon provides builders with free compute credits, an elite Discord developer community, and a gateway into the highly selective AI Catalyst program.

- Scale: Join solo or form collaborative teams to build out code repositories.
🧬 The 5 Specialized Hackathon Tracks
Your project submission must explicitly target and map into at least one of these engineering domains:
- Track 1: MemoryAgent (Persistent Cognitive Storage) Build an autonomous agent that handles long-term memory, tracks user preferences, and refines its decisions across multi-turn, cross-session interactions. Focus on efficient vector storage/retrieval pipelines, smart data-forgetting mechanisms, and context-window optimization.
- Track 2: AI Showrunner (Multimodal Content Orchestration) Leverage state-of-the-art video models (like Wan / HappyHorse) to create an end-to-end entertainment engine. The agent must autonomously draft scripts, generate storyboards, render video scenes, and stitch edits together while managing a strict token budget. (Note: This track features the highest token allowance).
- Track 3: Agent Society (Multi-Agent Swarm Collaboration) Design a cooperative multi-agent cluster where distinct AI personas partition tasks, resolve logic conflicts, and negotiate to solve intricate problems. You must demonstrate a clear efficiency gain over single-agent baselines.
- Track 4: Autopilot Agent (Enterprise Workflow Automation) Build a resilient agent designed to handle end-to-end business workflows—such as triaging customer emails, generating dynamic price quotes, or auto-remediating cloud infrastructure alerts. Projects must handle ambiguous inputs, leverage external tool APIs, and include smart “human-in-the-loop” verification checkpoints.
- Track 5: EdgeAgent (Hardware & Physical IoT Systems) Embed Qwen-powered intelligence into physical devices like robots, smart appliances, or localized sensor arrays. The system should perceive conditions locally via edge sensors, process complex logic through cloud APIs, and execute physical or digital tasks locally, with graceful degradation during network drops.
