📌About the Event
The WnCC × Kaya AI IIT India Hackathon 2026 is a national-level student innovation challenge organised to develop AI-powered solutions for real-world problems in the construction industry. Participants will work on challenges related to construction-site intelligence, procurement and supply-chain management using technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, AI agents, edge computing, document intelligence and forecasting. The hackathon begins online, while the top 10 teams will be invited to Bengaluru for a fully hosted in-person grand finale.

- Team size: Two to four students.
- Main hackathon tracks:
- Physical AI: Wearables, computer vision, smart glasses and real-time construction-site intelligence.
- Supply Chain: Material tracking, delay prediction, routing, forecasting and optimisation.
- Procurement: Vendor intelligence, contract analysis, bidding, invoices and cost optimisation.
- Open Innovation: Original AI solutions addressing other significant construction-industry problems.
- Suggested technologies: Vision-language models, document intelligence, forecasting, optimisation, agentic AI systems, retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning and construction-specific AI.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD students.
- Participation is restricted to students from:
- IIT Bombay
- IIT Delhi
- IIT Hyderabad
- IIT Kanpur
- IIT Madras
- IIT Roorkee
- Every team must have two to four members.
- Solo participation is not permitted.
- All members of a team must study at one of the eligible IITs.
- Members may be from different eligible IITs, as the rules do not state that every member must belong to the same institution.
- Each student may participate in only one team.
- Companies and professional organisations cannot participate.
- The project must address a genuine problem connected to the construction industry.
- Participants must clearly mention their selected hackathon track.
- Entries must be original and developed during the hackathon period.
- Publicly available APIs, open-source libraries and pre-trained AI models are permitted.
- A simple chatbot or basic API wrapper may not be competitive; teams are encouraged to demonstrate meaningful technical problem-solving.
- Submissions without the required presentation deck and video will be considered ineligible.
- Stage 1 Submission Requirements
- A written proposal explaining:
- The construction-industry problem being addressed
- The proposed AI-powered solution
- The selected hackathon track
- A presentation deck in PDF or Google Slides format.
- The presentation must contain a maximum of 10 slides.
- A two-minute video walkthrough explaining the idea.
- The video must be submitted through an unlisted YouTube or Loom link.

- Total cash prize pool: ₹3,50,000
- Winner: ₹2,00,000
- First runner-up: ₹1,00,000
- Second runner-up: ₹50,000
