📌About the Event
The Civic Kiosk Competition 2026 is an international architecture and design competition that challenges participants to reinvent the traditional urban newsstand for the digital age. Competitors must explore how this small-scale civic structure can offer new services, programmes and social experiences while developing a fresh architectural identity through innovative forms, materials and spatial configurations. Participants may select any site worldwide and transform the kiosk into a cultural venue, neighbourhood meeting point, café or another creative public-space intervention.

- Project location: Participants may independently select an urban site anywhere in the world.
- Competition objective: To redesign the traditional newsstand and redefine its function, appearance, operation and relationship with contemporary public spaces.
- Possible functions: The redesigned kiosk may operate as a cultural venue, café, community meeting point, information hub or another original civic facility.
- Submission language: English
- Submission requirements:
- One horizontal A1 presentation panel measuring 594 × 841 mm
- Panel submitted in PDF or JPG format
- A brief project description of approximately 250–500 words
- Competition brief: Available in English, Italian, Spanish and French.
- Submission process: Participants must register online, obtain their identification code and upload the final project through the Terraviva platform.

- Other individuals interested in architecture and design
- Participants must be at least 18 years old.
- Indian students and professionals are eligible to participate.
- Entries may be submitted individually or in teams.
- There is no maximum number of team members for teams entering through a single competition registration.
- Teams participating through a Terraviva membership plan may include up to five people, including the team leader.
- A single registration permits the submission of one project. Separate registrations are required for additional entries.
- Participants have complete freedom to select the location and define the programme of their kiosk.
